What this site is, what it is not, and what it does with your data. Short version: it is one person reading a subreddit with scripts, it sells nothing, and it stores nothing about you.
Adults 21 and over
New York permits adult-use cannabis for people 21 and over. This site is limited to that audience and asks before showing anything. The answer is remembered in your browser for 30 days and is never sent anywhere.
Not advice
Nothing here is medical advice. Nothing here is legal advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or not buy any product. If you are making a decision about your health, ask someone licensed to answer.
What the numbers describe is what people said in public, not what is true about a product. A brand that is discussed more is not a better brand — a recall gets talked about as hard as a hit does. The method page spells out the rest of the limits, and it is longer than this page.
Where the content comes from
Everything is derived from public posts and comments in r/NYSCannabis. Counts and percentages are ours. Quoted sentences belong to the people who wrote them, are reproduced in small part to support a specific number, and every one links back to the original post. Deleted and removed content is excluded rather than reproduced.
If you wrote something quoted here and want it gone, nyccannaboard@gmail.com — say which quote and it comes out. No reason needed.
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the New York State Office of Cannabis Management, r/NYSCannabis or its moderators, any licensed cultivator, processor or dispensary, or any brand named on these pages. Brand and shop names are used to identify what was being discussed.
No ads, no money
No advertising, no sponsored placement, no affiliate links, no paid inclusion or removal. Nobody has paid to appear here or to be left out, and no ranking on this site can be bought. If that ever changes it will be stated on this page before it changes anywhere else.

No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts. The site makes no requests to any other host — its content security policy forbids it, so that is enforced rather than promised. You can confirm all of this in your browser's network tab.
Two values live in your browser's local storage and never leave it: your light/dark preference, and the fact that you confirmed your age. Clearing site data removes both.
The pages themselves are static files. Whoever hosts them can see ordinary web server request logs, the same as any website; this site adds nothing to that.
Accuracy
The numbers are produced by scripts and the scripts have bugs. Known ones are listed on the method page, which also shows how much of the discussion never makes it into the counts at all. Every figure on the site can be opened to see the individual posts behind it — if a number looks wrong, that is the fastest way to prove it, and nyccannaboard@gmail.com is where to send it.
